Medicare has granted accredited and trained Specialist Dermatologist permission to provide sweat stopping treatments under a strict supervised scheme.

This means that sweat stopping treatments treatments are subsidised under both Medicare and PBS, with some out of pocket costs

To qualify for sweat stopping treatmentsinjections for excessive underarm sweating you must have severe sweating (eg. If sweating impacts on your life either at work or socially) and you must have trialled Driclor ($12-$15 at discount pharmacies). Most patients with severe sweating will NOT tolerate Driclor, as it will give skin irritation.
